Home Emergency Cover provides protection for a wide range of common but unexpected emergencies that can affect your home such as burst pipes, blocked drains, heating system breakdown, drainage problems, electrical wiring, property security, roofing and pests. We will arrange for an approved contractor to attend and take action to stabilise the situation and resolve the emergency.
No, you are only covered if a home emergency occurs and you need a tradesman to make your home safe, secure and to prevent further damage. The type of emergency covered includes damage to the roof, plumbing and drainage, home security, main heating system and domestic power supply failure.
A sudden unforeseen event which requires immediate corrective action to prevent damage or further damage to your home, to make your home safe and secure and to alleviate any unreasonable discomfort, risk or difficulty to any insured Person. For heating, boiler and electrical emergencies home emergency cover only covers a complete breakdown or failure.
No there is no limit to the number of emergency calls outs where each incident is unconnected. However the most we will pay for any one insured incident in total is £500 (including VAT) as shown in your schedule, for call out charges, labour costs, parts and materials to provide help with an insured emergency.
No, there is no call-out charge. Depending on the policy level you select an excess maybe payable, please see your quotation or policy schedule for full details.

We'll send you a renewal notice 3 to 4 weeks before your renewal date. This will contain information about your premium and your cover.
Direct debit renewal: Check that the information on the renewal notice, renewal letter and finance letter is correct. Unless you need to make amendments to your details you do not need to contact us as your direct debit renewal will be processed 3 working days before your renewal date to ensure continuous cover.
Annual Payment Renewal: To renew your policy you will need to call us before your renewal date with a credit or debit card or send your payment details to us before the renewal date in the pre paid envelope provided with your renewal letter.

If you cancel before your policy is due to start we will return any premium you have paid in full.
If you cancel within 14 days of the day it is due to start or of the day on which you receive your documents (whichever is later) we'll return any premium you've paid in full, provided you've not made a claim during that time.
If you cancel your policy after that 14 day period the policy is non-refundable and therefore no premium(s) would be refunded.
